Position Overview

Firepower Rehab & Therapy Clinic is seeking a dedicated and talented Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Chula Vista, California. In this full-time role, you will be instrumental in the rehabilitation of patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and skin conditions. You will apply a range of therapeutic techniques to help patients regain strength, mobility, and independence, all while working in an onsite outpatient setting.

Work Environment

Located in beautiful Chula Vista, California, our outpatient office provides a welcoming and professional atmosphere where you can thrive. The clinic is designed to facilitate collaboration among team members and enhance patient interactions. As a Physical Therapist, you will work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, giving you the opportunity to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations using various assessments and diagnostic tools to gauge each patient's physical abilities and limitations, identifying specific areas for intervention.
• Treatment Planning: Design and implement customized treatment plans that align with patient goals and physician recommendations, adapting strategies as necessary based on patient progress.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Administer a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, to facilitate the healing process.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about therapeutic exercises and self-care strategies, empowering them to take active roles in their recovery.
• Consultation: Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to offer insights regarding patient progress, consult on treatment interventions, and recommend adaptive equipment when needed.
• Supervision: Oversee the activities of support staff and non-professional personnel, ensuring all treatment provided meets clinic standards and is in line with best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, ranging from post-operative orthopedic patients to individuals recovering from sports-related injuries. Your role will directly impact their quality of life and ability to return to their preferred activities.

Qualifications

• A Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current active licensure in the State of California as a Physical Therapist.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques and the ability to develop tailored exercise programs.
• A clean professional record without any disciplinary actions or board complaints.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient settings, specifically focusing on orthopedic patients.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation tools.
• Advanced training in specific therapeutic techniques (e.g., Graston technique, Dry needling).

Compensation and Benefits

Firepower Rehab & Therapy Clinic offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
