Work Environment

This role is based onsite in our vibrant outpatient office located in Chula Vista, CA. The work environment is both supportive and community-focused, encouraging teamwork and open communication. You will work Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, providing structured hours that allow you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while effectively managing a caseload that typically involves treating one patient per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify individual needs and establish effective treatment plans that promote recovery and enhance mobility.
• Deliver evidence-based therapies and interventions tailored to the unique conditions of each patient, focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Utilize a wide range of treatment techniques while continuously monitoring patient progress and adjusting care plans where necessary.
• Provide alternative solutions to surgical options and minimize medication needs through innovative therapeutic strategies.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their recovery journey to optimize their functional capabilities and performance.
• Document patient interactions and treatment plans comprehensively as per state regulations and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, occupational therapists, and fitness trainers to ensure coordinated care.
• Engage proactively with patients to promote lifestyle changes that improve strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Assess the effectiveness of treatments, maintaining clear communication with patients about their progress and any adjustments to their care plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients seeking rehabilitation for orthopedic conditions, many of whom are recovering from surgery or managing chronic pain. This population requires personalized, compassionate care aimed at enhancing their physical capabilities and functionality in daily activities.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• Valid physical therapist license in California, with a clean record and no disciplinary history.
• Strong foundational knowledge and skills in manual therapy techniques applicable in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Proficiency in EMR software, particularly platforms like WebPT, to efficiently document patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Prior hands-on experience as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient orthopedic clinic is highly desirable.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing individualized exercise regimens for diverse patient populations.
• Experience in utilizing various therapeutic modalities and techniques to foster patient recovery and independence.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.
