As part of our team, you will collaborate with two fellow physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), fostering a supportive and cooperative workplace culture aimed at delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our outpatient office in Chula Vista, where you will engage directly with patients in a hands-on capacity. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured work-life balance. We prioritize a collaborative environment where healthcare professionals can exchange ideas and refine techniques to deliver the best care. Expectations include managing a patient load of approximately one patient per hour, which fosters comprehensive and attentive treatment plans tailored for each individual.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and establish personalized treatment strategies based on thorough evaluations and patient history.
• Implement diverse treatment modalities, including manual therapy and exercises, to effectively address each patient's unique orthopedic challenges.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to minimize reliance on medications or invasive surgical procedures, promoting natural recovery processes.
• Document all patient interactions meticulously, maintaining accurate records of treatments, progress, and treatment efficacy.
• Regularly reassess treatment outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary while ensuring open communication with patients about their progress.
• Encourage patient adherence to fitness and wellness regimens designed to enhance strength, flexibility, and overall physical function.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to create a cohesive care plan that optimizes patient rehabilitation.
• Motivate and educate patients on lifestyle modifications that promote long-term health and wellbeing, beyond their therapy sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required to ensure a strong clinical foundation.
• Valid certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in the state of California, demonstrating your professional competence.
• A clean professional record void of any board actions or disciplinary measures that would impede your practice.
• Experience and proficiency in manual therapy techniques, showcasing your hands-on skills and patient engagement.
• Ability to develop and implement personalized exercise regimens that align with individual patient needs and treatment goals.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, to ensure efficient patient documentation and data management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, demonstrating a deep understanding of the recovery process for orthopedic conditions.
• Expertise in utilizing modalities and therapy techniques that effectively reduce pain and improve functional mobility.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this role is competitive, with an annual salary range of USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits program.
