Work Environment

This position is onsite at our modern rehabilitation center located in Chula Vista. Patients typically come to us with private medical insurance, allowing us to focus on providing comprehensive and personalized therapy. As part of a vibrant team consisting of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), you will have the opportunity to share knowledge, collaborate on treatment strategies, and ensure that each patient receives the best possible care in a professional yet friendly atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine individual goals and therapeutic needs, ensuring a tailored approach to treatment.
• Manage a patient load of approximately one individual per hour, providing focused, quality care.
• Implement evidence-based treatment techniques aimed at promoting optimal movement and function.
• Explore and recommend cost-effective non-surgical alternatives for injury management, helping to minimize reliance on medications.
• Design and customize care plans encompassing a variety of therapeutic techniques to address specific patient requirements.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey to enhance their functional capacity and independence.
• Monitor patients' progress and provide timely feedback, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing evaluations.
• Document services rendered comprehensively to ensure continuity of care and effective communication among health care professionals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient base primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. We cater to a diverse demographic, allowing you to gain a breadth of experience in treating various conditions related to mobility and physical health.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of California, with no board actions or disciplinary issues.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in developing effective exercise programs.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly WebPT, and the ability to document patient care efficiently and accurately.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings, with a strong focus on sports rehabilitation.
• Experience with various treatment modalities, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercise.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 125,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
