Position Overview

Active Motion and Movement Physical Therapy is excited to invite applications for a dedicated and passionate Full-Time Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in the vibrant city of San Diego, California. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to individuals facing orthopedic challenges, conducting assessments, creating personalized treatment plans, and guiding patients on their journey to recovery.

Our innovative facility spans 5,000 square feet and is equipped with the latest technologies and treatment modalities in sports medicine. As part of a close-knit team of professionals, including two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), you will work collaboratively to provide the highest standard of care to our patients, primarily insured through private medical channels.

Work Environment

You will be working in a fully onsite rehabilitation center that is designed for optimal patient experience and clinical excellence. The environment promotes active engagement and communication among staff and patients, ensuring that everyone feels valued and supported. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life integration. The team dynamics foster a culture of ongoing learning, support, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and identify patients' goals and requirements to develop effective treatment strategies tailored to their unique needs.
• Maintain a manageable caseload of one patient per hour, allowing for focused and individualized care.
• Leverage your expertise as a Physical Therapist to execute cost-effective therapies that enhance patient mobility and functional abilities.
• Champion non-surgical options and minimize dependency on medications through evidence-based therapeutic practices.
• Create comprehensive and adaptive treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Incorporate customized fitness and wellness programs that encourage holistic patient health and wellbeing.
• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care that supports optimal patient outcomes and aligns with the organization's mission.
• Encourage motivation in patients, fostering a positive mindset throughout their treatment journey.
• Continually assess patient progress and outcomes, ensuring effective communication throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Accurately document treatment sessions and care provided for all patients, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient demographics at our facility include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, those facing sports-related injuries, and patients dealing with chronic pain conditions. Our focus is on providing comprehensive rehabilitation services that empower patients to reclaim their strength, improve their mobility, and enjoy a more active lifestyle.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.
• Free of board or disciplinary actions on your professional license.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills and experience in designing effective exercise regimens.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software, specifically WebPT or similar systems.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly preferred.
• A history of successfully implementing evidenced-based treatment methods that have significantly improved patient outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to create an interdisciplinary approach to patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

Active Motion and Movement Physical Therapy offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
