Position Overview

Velocity Wellness & Physical Therapy is seeking a motivated and experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team in Chula Vista, California. Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our Rehabilitation Center in Chula Vista, California. Our center is designed to promote healing and recovery, featuring advanced rehabilitation equipment and a supportive atmosphere. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation aides, to create a cohesive approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, establishing accurate diagnosis and determining appropriate treatment modalities, tailored to the individual needs of a diverse patient population.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update personalized treatment plans, ensuring consistent progress toward patients' rehabilitation goals and adapting approaches based on ongoing assessments.

• Provide high-quality physical therapy treatments, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, while documenting all care delivered in the EMR system.

• Oversee and mentor rehabilitation assistants and techs, providing guidance and supervision to ensure adherence to best practices in patient care.

• Establish and maintain effective communication with patients and their families to educate them about treatment plans, expectations, and progress to foster engagement and motivation during the recovery process.

• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations pertaining to physical therapy and maintain meticulous records to meet accreditation standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be treating orthopedic patients, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and degenerative conditions. This role will require you to empathize with patients across different age groups, tailoring your approach to fit their unique recovery needs. Our diverse clients range from young athletes to seniors recovering from joint replacement surgeries, necessitating a flexible and adaptive therapeutic approach.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association.

• Valid and current Physical Therapist licensure in the State of California.

• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR certification.

• Proficiency in the operation of physical therapy equipment, along with the ability to conduct detailed functional evaluations.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with patients and colleagues, demonstrating excellent customer service at all times.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy, with a proven track record of developing effective treatment plans and achieving positive patient outcomes.

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) for documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $125,000, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
