Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments to determine individual therapy needs and create tailored treatment programs in collaboration with licensed physical therapists.
• Implement specific exercises and therapeutic techniques as outlined in each patient's treatment plan, including modalities, manual therapy, and functional training.
• Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes, adjusting plans as necessary to facilitate optimal recovery.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment processes and home exercise regimens post-therapy.
• Utilize various therapeutic devices such as walkers and balance equipment to enhance patients' physical capabilities safely.
• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced staff on technical skills and best practices in physical therapy.
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy space, complying with all health and safety regulations.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned to support the team's goals and objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients with orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, chronic pain management, and age-related musculoskeletal issues. You will play a critical role in helping patients restore function, enhance mobility, and lead fulfilling lives through personalized therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting, preferably with a focus on orthopedics.
• Current California State Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or equivalent certification.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a diverse patient demographic.
• Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with manual therapy techniques and utilizing therapeutic modalities.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions and treatment plans effectively.
• Prior experience in mentoring staff or training new team members.
