This role follows company SSOPs, task lists, GMPs, and food safety policies, and completes required documentation accurately and honestly. The focus is on facility areas rather than production process equipment Key Responsibilities Facility Cleaning and Sanitation Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, and common areas, including restocking restroom and break room supplies. Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub floors, and clean carpets throughout assigned areas. Clean windows, glass, doors, and entryways within safe reach. Clean ceilings, walls, light fixtures, and evaporators in assigned facility areas. Disinfect high-touch surfaces and all components of assigned areas. Empty trash and recycling containers and bring waste to designated disposal areas. Grounds and Exterior Wash and clean outdoor areas of the building, including parking lots and entranceways, when and where instructed. Clear snow and ice from walkways and building entrances during winter to keep access safe. SSOPs, Task Lists, and Documentation Follow established Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) for all assigned cleaning tasks. Complete assigned daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly task lists on schedule. Record completed tasks and required data in the company computer system accurately and honestly. Chemical Safety Follow all company chemical handling, storage, and safety procedures. Mix and dilute soap and cleaning chemicals to the correct concentrations according to SSOPs and product labels. Locate and use Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and keep all chemical containers properly labeled. Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while working. Equipment Operation Operate and care for facility cleaning equipment, including ride-on and walk-behind floor scrubbers, vacuums, pressure washers, and foam scrubbers. Report equipment malfunctions or needed repairs to the supervisor. Operate a pallet jack or scissor lift when assigned, after completing required training and certification. Food Safety, GMP, and Reporting Comply with all GMP, USDA, health, and sanitation requirements described in the Employee Handbook and company policies. Promptly report potential contamination, pest activity, property damage, leaks, or safety hazards to the supervisor. Requirements At least 1 year of cleaning experience in manufacturing, food, or commercial setting, or equivalent transferable experience. Able to operate, or learn to operate, pressure washers, foam scrubbers, and walk-behind and ride-on floor scrubbers. Able to read and follow safety labels, SDS, SSOPs, checklists, and verbal instructions. Basic computer skills for entering task completion data. Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work under a supervisor in a fast-paced environment. Summary Do you take pride in a job well done?
