About the Role
The Company is seeking an Engineering Lead with a strong background in building architecturally sound systems and a passion for driving technical efficiency to business. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and recommending solutions that align with enterprise standards, as well as creating technological and business application portfolio road maps. This role requires the ability to influence and negotiate with senior leaders, both internally and externally, and to have a deep understanding of how architecture integrates within technology with a focus on commercial awareness. The Engineering Lead will also be accountable for the end results in their area and must be adept at managing multiple activities, changing priorities, and working under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Applicants for the Engineering Lead position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of relevant experience, with a hands-on background in building and deploying cloud-native solutions using containers and a strong expertise in a range of programming languages and technologies. The role demands a self-starter with excellent communication, negotiation, and prioritization skills, who is methodical and detail-oriented. The candidate must be able to work closely with development teams, using influence to prioritize development, and be adept at assessing and managing risk in business decisions. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience, is required.
