Cambridge, MA • Mount Auburn Hospital • Full-time • DayWhen you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives.Job Description:LocationMount Auburn Hospital, CambridgeScheduleMonday through FridayAnticipated schedule: 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.No weekendsAbout the RoleJoin the Center for Women at Mount Auburn Hospital in a primarily clinical Medical Assistant role with some front-desk responsibilities.You will support a busy, high-volume OBGYN practice by rooming patients, performing phlebotomy, preparing for procedures, managing lab specimens, and helping maintain efficient patient flow. The practice may have six or seven providers working on a given day and treats patients across a wide range of obstetric and gynecologic needs.What You’ll DoWelcome and room patients for obstetric and gynecologic visitsObtain and document vital signs, height, and weightReview and update medication and allergy informationComplete required patient screening questionsPerform phlebotomy and manage specimens accuratelyPrepare rooms and supplies for routine OBGYN proceduresAssist providers during procedures as directedCommunicate abnormal vital signs, visit concerns, and relevant patient information to the providerMaintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam roomsDocument completed tasks accurately in the electronic health recordAssist with patient check-in, check-out, and front-desk coverage as neededHelp manage patient flow and communicate delaysFollow all patient safety, confidentiality, infection prevention, and OSHA requirementsWhat Success Looks Like|You will be successful in this role if you are:Comfortable performing phlebotomyOrganized and careful when tracking specimens and laboratory workAble to adapt quickly in a high-volume practiceCalm and effective while balancing changing prioritiesTeachable and willing to ask questionsAttentive to detailCompassionate and professional with patientsComfortable assisting with both obstetric and gynecologic careA collaborative team member who is willing to help where neededWhy Join This Team?The Center for Women is one of Mount Auburn’s busiest OBGYN practices, offering broad exposure to both obstetric and gynecologic care.You will gain experience supporting a wide variety of patient visits and procedures while working in a close, team-oriented environment. Bachelor's degree in Health Science preferred. License Medical Assistant Certificate preferred., or Registration Certified Nursing Assistant preferred., or Certificate 1 EMT Basic License preferred., or Certificate 2 Phlebotomy Certificate preferred.0-1 years related work experience required.Demonstrated Medical Assistant (MA) competencies within one year of hire.Basic familiarity with computers.Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.Preferred QualificationsCertified Medical AssistantPay Range:$21.00 – $28.26The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
