Shift Leader As a Shift Leader you will support the management team in operating and growing the assigned location. Your responsibilities include coaching staff, ensuring high‑quality food, delivering the Jersey Mike's experience, handling cash, enforcing policies, managing marketing initiatives, building sales, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting career growth for team members. Key Responsibilities Coaching the staff to deliver amazing customer service. Producing high quality food. Delivering the Jersey Mike’s experience. Cash handling. Following the Learning Management System Training Program. Developing others for career growth. Enforcing policies and procedures. Participating in local and national marketing initiatives. Building sales. Maintaining the cleanliness and proper sanitation practices in the establishment. Being certified in all four positions of the restaurant. Effective communication. Having a sense of urgency. Shift Leader Expectations Move or transport up to 50 lbs without assistance unless otherwise authorized. Work 38–40 hours per week. Have reliable transportation to and from work. Communicate any issues with GM/AGM/DM. Lead by example in food quality, customer service, and appearance; dress in a clean, fitted, and pressed uniform daily. Additional Responsibilities Create food consistent with Jersey Mikes high quality standards. Maintain the restaurant cleaner than others. Work in a fast‑paced team‑driven atmosphere. Multitask with a sense of urgency. Interface with customers to provide an exceptional experience. Full understanding of accountability and integrity. Key holder responsibilities. Perform all tasks related to opening and closing of store. Know how to bake bread and perform all prep. Manage and lead a crew of 2 to 5 people. Proficient in slicing. Qualifications Education: High school degree or equivalent. 1-year QSR experience preferred. Must be 18 years or older to operate the slicer. Serve Safe Certification – Food Handler required.
