We’re looking for a Shipping Coordinator to help ensure our products reach customers accurately and on time. Requirements Must be flexible/available to stay later than the scheduled shift if all daily duties are not completed to ensure HUI’s shipping needs are met Full understanding of HUI Shipment Priorities Effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, customer service and production Picks manufactured and commercial items in accordance with individual customer orders Ability to problem solve Performs manual and clerical duties related to the shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment and finished products shipped via freight or third-party LTL carriers. Determines shipping needs based on customer, product size and delivery location Perform shipping activities such as; checking goods against shipping documents and authorizations, packing goods for shipment according to specifications, preparing bills of landing, posting weight and shipping charges Performs routine, but varied duties in support of manufacturing areas in accordance with standard procedures. Maintain necessary files and documentation Maintain a clean and organized work area Performs related and peripheral site-specific duties as required Participates in inventory cycle counts When necessary, attend production meetings and/or confer with other departments to coordinate shipping activities Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This position works closely with both the Operations and Production teams at HUI. The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for collaborating with various customers to determine the specifications and expectations the customer has in regards to their products as it relates to both the shipping and receiving dates.
