Registered Nurse - Wound Ostomy Continence Consultant

Schedule

Day Shift - 8 hours, Monday through Friday.

Job Description

This position functions as a consultant to all staff and patients in the areas of skin prevention, wounds, ostomies, and continence needs.

Responsibilities

• Consult with healthcare team members regarding patient skin care needs.
• Provide education and support to patients and staff about wound care and ostomy management.
• Ensure effective communication among patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Share knowledge and skills to improve team functionality regarding skin and wound care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High school diploma or equivalent; completed registered nurse degree program required.
• Minimum of 3 years full-time professional nursing experience with medical-surgical patients.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.
• Board certification in wound, ostomy, and continence nursing.
• Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.
