You will conduct network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis. When issues arise, you will demonstrate the ability to identify and isolate issues, minimizing network outages, degradation, latency, packet loss, and connectivity issues.General SkillsetExperience with Microsoft OfficeVerbal and written communication skillsAbility to work both collaboratively and individuallyCritical Thinking SkillsSpecific DutiesMonitoring and troubleshooting routers, switches, servers, interfaces, circuits, and other network-connected devicesAnalyze SolarWinds alerts, events, logs, performance metrics, and historical data to determine root cause and support incident resolutionTroubleshoot device/interface availability, bandwidth utilization, CPU/memory utilization, interface errors, and network performance anomaliesRespond to SolarWinds alerts, translating monitoring information into actionable troubleshooting steps and escalation recommendationsRequirementsEducation & CertificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferredIAT Level II requiredSCP preferredExperience Requirements5+ years of relevant IT experienceExtensive hands-on experience using SolarWinds for enterprise network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysisExperience with SolarWinds modules such as Network Performance Monitor (NPM) and related network monitoring capabilitiesExperience supporting a Network Operations Center (NOC) or enterprise IT operations environment strongly preferredWorking knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, SNMP, and common network troubleshooting methodologiesBuild Your Career With UsLinchpin Solutions' professional services organization is committed to delivering qualified candidates that meet or exceed clients' technical and management expectations.
