Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor in a hospital setting, located in Corpus Christi, Texas. This position involves providing inpatient rehabilitation care on a dedicated unit with a focus on patient transfers, bladder scans, dressing changes, and medication administration. The role supports a team-oriented environment requiring proactive participation in patient care and unit operations.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/07/2026 and ending on 12/07/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Registered Nurse licensure, and experience with patient transfer training. Location requirements include working in areas such as med-surgical, telemetry, renal, urology, orthopedics, and overflow units (between hospitals Bay Area and the facility).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in rehabilitation settings, proficiency in rehabilitation scoring documentation.
• Additional Information: The unit has 15 beds with 18 staff members, including registered nurses and certified nursing assistants. Equipment used includes vital sign machines, transfer equipment, EKG, bladder scanners, and more. The environment emphasizes teamwork, initiative, hourly rounding, bedside report, and adherence to unit policies. The dress code permits scrubs or designated attire. The position is located on the 3rd floor of the facility.
