Plasma Center Nurse - EMT

Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) Determining donor eligibility, managing informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing and reviewing serological protein electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluating donor reactions as outlined in SOPs, coordinating with the Center Physician for standing orders and transportation to emergency care facilities. Communicating unacceptable findings to donors or medical staff and providing guidance on donor safety and eligibility. Supporting hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Managing employee incidents, referencing occupational health and EHS guidance, determining further evaluation when required. Acting as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and supporting investigations related to pandemic threats in the community. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate education in a recognized nursing program with state requirements. License or certification in the state where responsibilities are assigned (EMT‑Paramedic). Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy. Satisfactory completion of FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years of clinical or hospital setting experience. Benefits Competitive hourly wage range: $22.80 – $31.35.
