About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nurse Specialty: Staff Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 6 months to 3 years of Nursing (RN) experience License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS Certification, ACLS Certification, NIHSS Certification Must-Have: Critical care/ICU level experience required. Experience with vents and vasoactive drips, sedative drips required. Education from an accredited school of Nursing. Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities. The RN prevents illness and injury and alleviates suffering through diagnosis and treatment. The RN advocates for individuals and families in their care. The RN is responsible for compliance with all standards of practice. The RN is accountable for professional development according to the Nurse Practice Act and policies. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. The RN assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements, and evaluates nursing care. The RN manages a group of patients, acting as a primary nurse or accountable nurse when designated. The RN educates patients and families in health promotion and disease management using available resources. The RN utilizes a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications. The RN shares responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization. The RN complies with all nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements. The RN actively participates in Nursing Shared Governance Model initiatives. The RN engages in professional development and continuing nursing education. The RN integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice. The RN provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. The RN follows all organizational values and performs other assigned duties.
