Position Summary

La Casa de Esperanza Charter School is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven, and bilingual Community Outreach & Enrollment Specialist to serve as a key ambassador for our school and mission. This individual will play a vital role in growing enrollment, strengthening family engagement, and building meaningful connections throughout the community.

The Community Outreach & Enrollment Specialist is responsible for student recruitment, enrollment management, retention efforts, and cultivating positive relationships with prospective and current families. This position serves as one of the first points of contact for families and helps ensure every interaction reflects the warmth, excellence, and mission of La Casa de Esperanza Charter School.

Essential ResponsibilitiesStudent Recruitment & Community Outreach

• Develop and implement strategic student recruitment initiatives in collaboration with the Charter School leadership team.
• Represent La Casa de Esperanza Charter School at community events, fairs, local businesses, churches, neighborhood gatherings, and outreach opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with families, community partners, and local organizations to increase awareness of the school and its programs.
• Conduct school tours and provide personalized support to prospective families throughout the enrollment process.
• Assist families with enrollment applications and required documentation.
• Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator and Chief Growth Officer to develop outreach materials, promotional campaigns, and enrollment initiatives.
• Maintain accurate recruitment data, outreach tracking, and enrollment reports.
• Support student retention efforts by maintaining positive ongoing communication with families.

Family Engagement & Retention

• Serve as a welcoming liaison between families and the school to foster strong parent-school relationships.
• Conduct parent satisfaction and retention outreach through phone calls, surveys, meetings, and follow-up communication.
• Coordinate reenrollment efforts and assist families with annual registration updates.
• Collaborate with school leadership to proactively address parent concerns and support positive outcomes for students and families.
• Connect families with community resources and support services when appropriate.
• Assist with parent engagement initiatives, volunteer coordination, and school committees.
• Support and help coordinate school events including:
• Coffee with the Principal
• Open Houses
• Family Engagement Nights
• Concerts and Celebrations
• Graduation Ceremonies
• Community Outreach Events

Enrollment & Administrative Support

• Maintain accurate and compliant student records, enrollment documentation, and student files.
• Manage student enrollment, withdrawal, and records requests with other schools and districts.
• Maintain and update student information systems including Skyward and other required databases.
• Support DPI reporting requirements including pupil count, immunization reporting, and membership audits.
• Assist with preparation of reports, communications, flyers, parent notifications, and school-related materials.
• Assist school leadership with preparation for Education Committee meetings and related documentation.
• Prepare purchase orders and coordinate purchasing needs as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in education, communications, marketing, business, social services, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum of two years of experience in community outreach, enrollment, customer service, education, family engagement, or related field preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills across diverse audiences.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated cultural competency and ability to work respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and student information systems preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends for events and outreach activities.
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to meet La Casa de Esperanza driving requirements.
