Analyst III

In this role, you apply physics-based engineering methods to support the design, development, and verification of aerospace systems. You perform structural analyses, model complex physical behaviors, develop engineering documentation, and contribute to program-level technical decisions that ensure system requirements are met. You help guide subsystem behavior, test planning, and engineering standards through strong analytical and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Applies physics theories to engineering problems to quantify and predict system performance and support concept-of-operations decisions.
• Assesses structural viability of systems, structures, and mechanisms using classical hand calculations, finite element analysis, fatigue analysis, and damage-tolerance techniques.
• Contributes to technical oversight at the program level to ensure products meet applicable requirements.
• Verifies and documents system compliance through analysis reports, calculations, and supporting documentation.
• Develops engineering reports and presentations that communicate analysis results and recommendations.
• Contributes to company engineering standards, training materials, and technical guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Typically 4-7 years of aerospace and/or defense experience.
• Software proficiency with tools such as FEMAP, NASTRAN, LS-DYNA, CATIA V5, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in aerospace engineering disciplines including structural analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), physics-based modeling, dynamics and kinematics, advanced materials, and design and test practices.
• Thorough understanding of analysis theory and its application to engineering problems.
• Demonstrated technical leadership with the ability to develop, plan, and execute multidisciplinary projects.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and operate with minimal oversight.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing, problem solving, and organizational skills.
