PART-TIME OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST The Kensington Sierra Madre | Sierra Madre, California Prava Therapy Great occupational therapy doesn't just help someone do more. It helps them keep doing what makes life meaningful. Prava Therapy is looking for a Part-Time Occupational Therapist to join our embedded therapy team at The Kensington Sierra Madre. This isn't traditional senior living therapy. You're not walking into a facility, seeing a list of residents, completing your visits, and heading home. You're becoming part of a community. You'll know the residents. You'll know the team. You'll understand the rhythms of the community—and you'll use that knowledge to make therapy more meaningful, more functional, and more connected to everyday life. THIS IS OT WITH A BIGGER PURPOSE. Occupational therapy is about much more than an exercise program. It's about helping someone safely return to the dining room. Manage their morning routine. Participate in an activity they love. Navigate their apartment. Engage with friends. Communicate with their family. Stay independent in the things that matter most. Sometimes it's improving strength or balance. Sometimes it's cognition. Sometimes it's adapting the environment. Sometimes it's teaching a caregiver a different way to support a resident. And sometimes it's simply helping someone rediscover confidence in something they thought they couldn't do anymore. That's the work. YOUR ROLE As a Part-Time OT with Prava, you'll provide skilled occupational therapy while becoming a trusted clinical presence within the community. You'll work alongside residents, families, caregivers, nursing, and community leadership to help residents remain as independent, engaged, and connected as possible. You'll: Provide exceptional, individualized occupational therapy based on each resident's goals, needs, interests, and daily routines. Evaluate and treat residents across a range of functional, cognitive, and physical needs. Develop meaningful plans of care focused on participation, independence, safety, and quality of life. Address ADLs, IADLs, cognition, balance, functional mobility, upper-extremity function, and environmental barriers as appropriate. Help residents participate in the activities and routines that give their days meaning. Recognize changes in function and communicate concerns proactively with the interdisciplinary team. Partner with caregivers and community staff to reinforce strategies beyond the therapy session. Provide education that helps the people around the resident support greater independence. Build strong relationships with residents and families. Collaborate with the broader Prava therapy team and community care team. Document thoughtfully and efficiently using Prava's technology and AI-enabled tools. Measure outcomes that matter—not simply minutes or visits. Help create a therapy culture that is visible, responsive, and integrated into the community. WE'RE LOOKING FOR AN OT WHO SEES THE WHOLE PERSON.
