Be the force that keeps production moving

Step onto the floor at Teknor Apex and your day begins with a walk-through of critical production lines. You listen for the subtle hum of healthy bearings, scan for wear on mechanical drives, and plan your first repair. By mid-morning you’re machining a precision component on a vertical mill to return a line to design throughput. After lunch, you’re reviewing prints, diagnosing a bearing failure, and fine-tuning a pneumatic circuit so equipment runs at peak efficiency. Before you leave, you secure tools, verify machine guards, and document work using your computer skills—ready to answer an on-call request if production needs you.

What you’ll handle

• Maintain production and facilities equipment so it operates at design efficiency and throughput.
• Perform hands-on mechanical work, including machining on vertical mills, lathes, and surface grinders.
• Read prints and perform layout; diagnose bearing failures and service mechanical drive systems.
• Ensure the shop, equipment, and tools are safe, well-maintained, and properly secured.
• Be available for on-call needs and work overtime as required.

What you bring

• Knowledge of mechanical systems.
• 3–5 years of practical experience in a related field.
• Computer skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
