Requirements

Key Responsibilities

•  

Perform laboratory testing and analysis in accordance with established procedures

•  

Analyze specimens and report accurate test results

•  

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment

•  

Ensure compliance with quality assurance and quality control standards

•  

Review and verify test results before release

•  

Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records

•  

Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines

•  

Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to support patient care

Required Certifications

•  

BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification

•  

Active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) License (CDPH)

Qualifications

•  

Active California Department of Public Health (CDPH) CLS License required

•  

Experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting preferred

•  

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

•  

Ability to work independently during night shifts

•  

ASCP certification is optional and not required

Education

•  

Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field

•  

Completion of an accredited CLS program
