Southeast General Construction Inc. is looking for a sharp and driven Commercial Construction Estimator to join our growing team in Cumming, GA. This is your opportunity to play a critical role in winning projects and shaping the future of our commercial construction portfolio. If you thrive on precision, strategy, and the thrill of landing a bid, we want to hear from you. This is an in-office position. Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects from bid documents and blueprints
- Perform quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment across all trades
- Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and supplier bids
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and scope of work to identify potential risks and cost impacts
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers during the pre-construction phase
- Maintain and update cost databases, historical data, and estimating templates
- Support bid submissions, proposal writing, and client presentations
- 3+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Procore
- Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and trades
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
