Registered Nurse - Cardiac OR

12 hours shift - 7 AM to 7 PM

Job Description

The Adult Cardiac Operating Room (OR) is dedicated to providing high-quality care for a diverse range of patients undergoing procedures such as CABGs, TAVIs, and heart transplants. Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, the OR staff collaborates to manage the care of patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases, including CABGs, structural heart cases, and minimally invasive procedures.
• Manage heart failure cases, such as Impella and ECMO, while providing care for patients with a variety of cardiac conditions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN License (NY License ONLY)
• Two (2) years of nursing experience required
• Operating room experience in a level 1 trauma setting preferred
• Able to scrub and circulate
• ACLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Telemetry knowledge preferred

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
