Responsibilities: Assembles / disassembles, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains tooling and dies through a variety of standard methodology Performs complex machining to turn raw materials into finished dies and fixtures Performs preventive maintenance to ensure dies are as production ready as possible Maintains logs and appropriate records on die maintenance Reads/studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, and/or descriptions to determine materials and machines needed to fabricate parts Participates in tool design and prototype production Computes dimensions, plans layout, and determines methods for sequence of operations Measures, marks, and scribes metal stock for machining Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances Identifies a reasonable amount of time to complete a job and communicates problems and estimated repair times Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements Makes recommendations to continuously improve tooling and fixtures Other duties as assigned Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Operate Tool Room equipment Read and understand blueprints Heat-treating procedures Able to make basic detail prints of die sections Must be able to work on multiple jobs at one time Excellent problem-solving skills Mathematical ability to perform basic math computations such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions High school diploma or GED required Journeyman's card or equivalent a plus Computer skills, crane, and tow motor experience are a plus Employment with Eberhard Manufacturing is "at-will", meaning that either the employee or the company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, in accordance with Ohio law.
