DIE Setter

Die Setter/ Stamping Press Operator Location: Brook Park, OH 44142 Pay: $20.00 $25.00 per hour Overview: An established automotive stamping facility is seeking experienced individuals to set up and operate Minster straight-side and OBI presses (60 to 400 ton). Candidates must be capable of working independently, with experience in DiPro and SmartPac press packs, and a strong understanding of press controls and die protection systems. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate metal stamping presses (60400 ton) with minimal supervision Use DiPro and SmartPac press control systems Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and specifications Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to inspect parts Ensure proper machine operation, including mistake-proofing and die protection systems Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment Report unsafe conditions to supervisors Adhere to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality standards and procedures Complete accurate production records and inspection reports Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required) Technical school training in machine tooling (preferred) Minimum 3 years of stamping press experience (required) Ability to read and follow work orders, instructions, and safety guidelines Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team Dependability in attendance and punctuality Skills Mechanical aptitude and understanding of press operations Ability to interpret technical documents and specifications Basic math and measuring proficiency Strong organizational and multitasking ability Self-motivated and detail-oriented Physical Requirements Stand for prolonged periods (up to 90% of the shift) Move throughout the work cell to access parts, equipment, and machinery Good manual dexterity for operating machinery and inspecting parts Visual acuity for close inspection of parts and reading instructions Lift and relocate parts or materials weighing up to 60 pounds Ability to produce precision work with tools and machines Quality Commitment Demonstrate commitment to improving product quality and delivery Support company-wide efforts to exceed customer expectations Schedule 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday Day shift Benefits 401(k) with company match Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Signing bonus Additional Information Must pass a background check and drug screening Reliable commute to Brook Park, OH required or willingness to relocate Application Requirements High school diploma or equivalent At least 3 years of stamping press experience
