This Junior Staff Accountant position is an early-career opportunity to develop a strong foundation in corporate accounting and finance, directly contributing to the company’s mission by maintaining accuracy and integrity in financial operations. The TL;DR Role: Early Career Type: Full-time Location: In-person, Los Angeles, CA Team: Finance team Mission: This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of dnata’s financial reporting and accounting operations, ensuring smooth financial processes and compliance across various jurisdictions. Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel (XLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables), ERP or enterprise accounting software (preferred) What You’ll Actually Do General Ledger Management: Accurately prepare and post daily journal entries, accruals, and other necessary accounting adjustments to maintain the general ledger. Cash Flow Oversight: Perform daily banking activities, including the preparation and distribution of bank and book balance reports to senior leadership, and process physical and digital check deposits for the Accounts Receivable team. Financial Reconciliation: Conduct weekly and monthly corporate credit card reconciliations, including expense coding and recording employee reimbursements, and prepare routine intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts. Tax & Capital Support: Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for monthly and quarterly sales tax filings across applicable jurisdictions and compile capital expenditure packages for internal review and approval. Audit & Compliance: Gather, organize, and maintain comprehensive financial documentation and supporting records to ensure readiness for internal and external audits, including submission of the monthly LAWA report. The Must-Haves Background: Entry-level professional with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a closely related field. Experience: 0 to 2 years of corporate accounting or finance experience; relevant internships or academic coursework will be considered. Skills: Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including XLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables; professional written and verbal communication abilities; demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
