Registered Nurse (RN) - MedSurg Neuro & Stroke

This position involves providing exceptional nursing care in the MedSurg Neuro & Stroke unit. The role requires working closely with patients experiencing neurological and stroke-related issues, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout their treatment journey.

Schedule Options

3x12 hour shifts

4x12 hour shifts

Overtime will be paid after 48 hours for 4x12 schedules. Candidates must be willing to work every other weekend, floating between units, and holidays as needed. Travelers are also required to work two of the three winter holidays.

Patient Ratios

The typical patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:7. Candidates should be fully pre-closed and comfortable with these ratios prior to submission.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of RN experience

Previous travel experience is required

Active Virginia or Compact RN license is mandatory

Proficiency in Epic software is essential

Experience caring for Neurology/Stroke patients is required

Required Certifications

BLS – American Heart Association

ACLS – American Heart Association

NIHSS
