If you enjoy balancing design creativity with technical rigor—and want to grow your influence on complex, high‑profile projects—this is an opportunity to do exactly that.Why This Role Is CompellingThis position is designed for a professional who is confident in their foundation and ready to step into a larger role—one that balances design leadership, technical expertise, and collaboration.In this role, you will:Play a key role on high‑visibility projects spanning education, mixed‑use, housing, commercial, institutional, and infrastructure‑related developmentWork side‑by‑side with engineers, architects, and project managers in a fully integrated design processApply both design thinking and technical rigor to solve real‑world site challengesContinue to refine your leadership skills through mentorship from senior landscape architects and professional engineersBuild credibility with clients and agencies while shaping projects that will be builtWhat You’ll DoLead and contribute to siteand landscape design from early concepts through constructionPrepare presentation materials, permit packages, construction documents, and construction support for land development, building, and transportation projectsDevelop designs using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation, with opportunities to influence both concept and executionConduct site investigations, inventories, and analysis that inform clear, defensible design decisionsDesign sustainable, resilient landscapes, including on‑structure podium and urban environments, that enhance the outdoor user experiencePrepare technical reports, calculations, and feasibility studiesCollaborate closely with project managers to align design intent with scope, schedule, and budgetParticipate in client meetings and presentations, contributing to strong relationships and project successSupport project delivery by coordinating across disciplines and agenciesStay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously raise design qualityWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture from an accredited programLicensed Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) (Maryland preferred)7+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture, land development, or a related fieldStrong foundation in site planning, site analysis, and urban design principlesProficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.
