Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical ICU (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract / Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Rotating Weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical ICU setting, managing complex and critically ill patients
• Perform and assist with procedures including chest tubes, tracheostomies, intubations, central lines, arterial lines, NG tubes, Foley catheters, GI scopes, and dressing changes
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the Meditech electronic health record system
• Apply strong critical thinking skills to rapidly assess changes in patient condition and implement appropriate interventions
• Adhere to unit badging, attendance, and punctuality policies, including clocking in no later than 6:45 AM/PM
• Float to other units as required in accordance with facility floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License (Temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• Minimum 2–3 years of ICU experience
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• NIH Stroke Certification
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Background in MICU and/or MSICU environments
• Experience with Meditech charting and order entry
