3rd Shift Block Prep - Assembler/Disassembler L3

Role Overview This role is responsible for visually inspecting engine blocks. Primary responsibilities include removing caps, tapping head bolt holes, wash tank use, inspection camera, and completing documentation. Responsibilities Perform physical manufacturing duties: repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting using machinery, following standardized work procedures. Clean and inspect engine blocks. Operate hoist, air tools, hand tools, torque wrenches, gauges, wash tank, and inspection camera. Identify component parts by learning identification numbers. Adhere to established work rotation plan and complete the rotation training matrix. Read and understand Work Station Instructions. Participate in continuous improvement of safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughput. Install and assemble components for heavy‑duty trucks. Use computer systems to access company data associated with the assembly process, utilizing drawings, bills of materials and specification sheets in both electronic and hard copy. Other tasks and duties as requested. Qualifications Capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power and hand tools. Able to stand on concrete for the entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds. Maintain a clean work area. Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures. Cross‑train on other jobs as required. Exceptional candidates may have previous experience in a manufacturing (automotive/trucking) environment. Previous mechanical experience is a plus. High School Diploma or GED preferred; further college education is a plus. Benefits Starting pay $20.70/hr up to $29.21/hr plus quarterly gain‑sharing bonus potential.
