The starting pay is $28/hr. Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $17 and $28. This role will also receive overtime compensation.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Utilize Manhattan software to slot products in all warehouse areas (dry, cooler, freezer, pir) to promote a safe working environment, maximize warehouse efficiency, and minimize errors.
• Perform accurate slotting of new items as well as daily slotting moves to increase productivity and cases per pallet.
• Monitor, research, and respond to slot check inquiries to answer internal questions about item placement.
• Support inventory control to research and reconcile damaged product.
• Support daily replenishment priorities to promote warehouse efficiency and reduce spoilage.
• Perform regularly scheduled audits (aisle audits, rack labels, ti/hi, and pallet put-aways).
• Communicate daily with warehouse leadership about work status, receiving errors or safety concerns.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Work Environment

• The work will take place both at a desk in a US Foods office-based environment and in normal warehouse environments including cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees.

Minimum Qualifications

Related Experience/Requirements:

• Minimum two years of experience in a warehouse administrative or clerical position.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent telephone and customer service ability.
• Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills with a good knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Problem solving and critical thinking abilities to solve problems of limited scope.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to support others in the department and division.

Education

• High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior slotting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT hours of service regulations.
• Knowledge of our geographic delivery area.

Certifications/Training

• Xata and checkpoint experience.
