Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) RN Springfield, MA. This position involves providing high-quality care within a 42-bed Medical Intermediate Care Unit that is split between medical-telemetry and step-down services. The role requires managing patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, and other acute illnesses, while working in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Position Description: RN Intermediate Care at a healthcare facility.
• Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support).
• Education Requirements: Not specified.
• Location Requirements: Must be willing to work in Springfield, MA.
• Years of Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred, with a minimum of 1 year required.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Providing care for patients with conditions such as pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, diabetic ketoacidosis, HHS, alcohol withdrawal, gastrointestinal bleeding, sepsis, pulmonary embolism, urinary tract infections, respiratory failure, and more. Experience with trachs, vents, high-flow nasal cannula, cardiac drips, BiPAP, and telemetry is necessary.
• Additional Information: Float to other units can occur at times; RN work involves both sides of the floor (medical-telemetry and intermediate care). The position begins on 09/07/2026 and ends on 12/06/2026.
