Position Overview
PROLIM is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler 2 to support material movement, warehouse, shipping, and receiving activities at Northrop Grumman's San Diego facility.

The selected candidate will handle, transport, load, unload, organize, and record materials using a variety of manual and powered material-handling equipment. The role may also support shipping and receiving operations and requires the ability to safely handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Key Responsibilities

Load, unload, and convey materials within or near the plant, yard, or worksite.
Perform shipping and/or receiving activities as directed.
Open containers using appropriate hand tools.
Count and weigh materials and accurately record information.
Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and machines.
Load and unload materials into or from trucks manually.
Move materials using:
Forklifts
Hand trucks
Electric dollies
Wheelbarrows
Elevators
Other material-handling equipment
Stack and organize materials safely and efficiently.
Assist machine operators by lifting heavy objects manually or using power hoists.
Support general warehouse and material-handling activities.
Follow applicable safety, handling, and workplace procedures.
Maintain accurate material and inventory records.

Basic Qualifications

Previous warehouse or material-handling experience.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
Valid California Driver's License.
Ability to sit, stand, bend, and reach for extended periods.
Ability to operate a delivery vehicle.
Ability to safely perform physical material-handling activities.
U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience with SAP and/or MRP systems.
Forklift operating experience.
Experience with shipping and packaging to military specifications (Mil-Spec).
Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other industrial environments.
Ability to obtain and retain a security clearance.
Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory, and material tracking.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions.

What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, physically capable of handling materials up to 50 lbs, and experienced in warehouse or material-handling operations. Candidates with forklift, SAP/MRP, and Mil-Spec shipping/packaging experience are especially encouraged to apply.
