Step into a vital role supporting students’ well-being and success in a dynamic educational environment near New Waverly, TX. This contract opportunity begins August 12, 2025, and runs through May 21, 2027—ideal for professionals eager to make a sustained impact while enjoying a flexible, part-time schedule of 16 hours per week.
In this role, you'll provide counseling services across a blend of elementary and middle school campuses, anticipated to span approximately five sites and involve around 30 students. Your expertise will help guide students through academic and personal challenges, supporting their growth and creating a positive difference across multiple age groups.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active LPC license in Texas OR Special Education certification (if not LPC-licensed)
- School counseling background, including experience with both elementary and middle school populations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Compassionate, student-centered approach to counseling
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and maintain confidentiality
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling sessions to a varied student population
- Support students with academic, emotional, and social skills development
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create student intervention plans
- Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to all district and ethical guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and assist in the development of behavior or support plans as needed
