Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Carolina, PR. 

The Pharmacy Technician will work closely with the pharmacy team to support safe and compliant dispensing practices, provide courteous customer service, assist with inventory and delivery processes, and help maintain a clean, organized, and patient-focused pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Interpret, process, label, and prepare prescriptions in compliance with local and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Use RX30 and related systems to maintain accurate patient, physician, prescription, billing, and delivery information.
- Support controlled substance dispensing procedures, insurance follow-up, prior authorization calls, and prescription clarification with medical offices.
- Assist with medication preparation, including liquid formulations, creams, ointments, OTC labeling, and adherence program prescriptions.
- Provide excellent customer service in person and by phone, including refill calls, medication availability updates, and home delivery coordination.
- Maintain prescription department cleanliness, organization, inventory support, medication expiration checks, and required documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $12.00 to $13.00 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Location: Carolina, PR.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Associate Degree or completion of a Pharmacy Technician course.
- Pharmacy Technician license and certification.
- Health Certificate.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations and proper medication storage practices.
- Ability to operate a cash register and use a POS system accurately.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service mindset, professional attitude, and sense of urgency.
- Ability to follow supervisor instructions, work schedules, health and safety regulations, and pharmacy compliance requirements.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships and communicate respectfully with team members, supervisors, and patients.
