Snowflake Developer

naThe ideal candidate will use DataStage or BODS tool, build data ingestion pipelines from on premise sources such as Oracle, HANA, DB2 and others into Snowflake Datawarehouse. He/she will follow clients guideline and processes and work closely with their IT and business teams.5+ years of hands on experience using DataStage version 9 or higher (DataStage 11.7.0.1 experience is preferred)2 + years of hands on experience with the cloud data technologies like snowflake, Azure Databricks and ADF/Matillion1+ yrs. of experience in SQL, UNIX shell scripting1+ yrs. of experience with Python or Java or Scala1+ yrs. of experience in Snowflake - fetching data from end points and feeding to Snowflake1+ yrs. of experience in building and supporting Data Pipelines1+ yrs. of experience in doing Data engineering work on large volume of dataExposure or experience with Parquet, ORC or AvroExperience with Tivoli Workflow Scheduler (TWS)/ Maestro and BMC Control-M is added advantageStrong ETL experience in handling large volumes of data in the complex heterogeneous data warehouses, and processing high volume jobsAbility to design and handle Data migration from On-Prem to Cloud environment.Prior experience in building data ingestion pipeline and data replication into cloud environments hosted on Azure platform.Hands on experience in creating the ETL jobs, performance tuning / optimizationKnowledge of Snowflake is added advantageStrong Knowledge in databases such as Oracle, IBM DB2, SAP HANA, and OLAP data warehouses Day to day activities:Work with stake holders to understand the requirement and build data pipelines from Oracle to Snowflake.Automate the data feed to make it optimalTroubleshoot and fix existing pipelines per needWrite scripts where required per the needs of the stake holders.naPosting Date:01/25/2021Department: -
