Job TitleLocal NEC (LNEC) SupervisorJob DescriptionDuties:Serves as Local NEC (LNEC) Supervisor.Provides expert technical advice, guidance and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues.Develops and reports estimates of budget requirements to higher management.Responsible for protecting the security of the Installation Campus Area Network (ICAN) and the IT resources contained therein IAW 30th Cyber Security policies and procedures.Supervises civilian and military personnel involved in support of Network Infrastructure, Enterprise Systems, and Cyber Security services hosted at Ft. Shafter Local NEC.Reviews and provides comments to policy and regulations issued by higher command authorities, e.g., Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Department of the Army (DA), Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM).Requirements Conditions of Employment:Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel will be required approximately 5-10% of the time and may require worldwide travel.Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 upon entering the position and annually.This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. Applicable experience would be demonstrated by Conducting analyses of Information Technology programs including architectures, and capabilities to identify gaps, assess risks, and propose improvements for long-range planning; Maintaining information technology standards to enhance system efficiency, security, and alignment with organizational goals; coordinating technical guidance to team members and stakeholders for workload coordination and priority setting; supporting lower graded employees by monitoring ongoing tasks to maintain operational readiness.My experience includes, or was supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
