Join our dynamic Back of House (BOH) team specializing in American cuisine, where you will play a vital role in efficient kitchen operations within a medium-sized team of 3-5 members. This position involves day shifts including mornings, afternoons, and weekends, with opportunities for regular cross-training alongside Front of House staff to enhance teamwork and operational knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food items following standardized recipes and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and equipment
- Perform routine equipment maintenance to ensure proper functionality
- Receive and verify incoming orders and supplies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Rotate stock to minimize waste and maintain freshness
- Conduct quality control checks on prepared dishes
- Cook orders accurately and timely
- Coordinate effectively with Front of House staff for smooth service
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in kitchen operations
- Food safety training certification and Food Handler's Permit
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
- Skills in inventory management and stock rotation
- Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and time management skills
- Physical stamina to handle kitchen demands
