Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator

Site Overview We have a great opportunity to join our team in the USA. This role is full time and permanent and will be based on-site in Dallas, Texas. The role will report to the Site Manager and have interaction with Operations, Sales, Logistics and Customer Support Teams. Purpose of the Function To coordinate purchasing and logistics activities by ensuring the timely, cost-effective procurement, planning, and movement of materials and products to support operational and customer requirements. Description of the Role Purchasing/Supply: Responsible for ensuring that the right materials/products are in the right place, in the right quantity and at the right time. Shipping/Logistics: Complete daily shipments and tasks. Proactively support the movement of materials in a cost effective and efficient manner ensuring the demand from internal and external customers is achieved. Forecast and book with freight providers. Maintain and update shipping records in line with department requirements. Key Responsibilities Raising and expediting purchase orders. Create and execute international and domestic shipments documentation with verification of tariff classifications, product descriptions, values, country of origin and class of shipment. Solicit quotes and order transportation for order fulfillment, demonstration equipment, raw materials etc. Coordinate and prepare documents for shipping and report any risks/failures to management and relevant customer support representative. Verify order conformity before transferring to Customer Service. Effectively communicate with co-workers, brokers, carriers, customer service, transportation management and all other direct and indirect contacts on a daily basis. Skills & Experience 3+ years experience of working in a manufacturing site in logistics and purchasing roles. College degree and or High School Diploma. Experience with ERP Systems (Microsoft D365) – training can be provided. Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative. #J-18808-Ljbffr Gurit
