Purchasing Specialist

Location: Richmond, VA area | On-site A growing industrial manufacturer is seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist to join their team on-site in the Richmond, VA area. This role will manage the purchasing of electrical, structural, and mechanical materials used in custom industrial equipment manufacturing, while working closely with Engineering, Estimating, Production, and Scheduling. PLEASE NOTE: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. Visa sponsorship is not available. Responsibilities: Source and purchase electrical, mechanical, and structural materials Obtain competitive quotes and negotiate with suppliers Manage vendor relationships and performance Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications Track material availability, lead times, and critical-path items Create and manage POs and purchasing activity within an ERP system Partner with Engineering, Production, Estimating, and Scheduling to ensure materials arrive on time Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience in industrial or manufacturing is required Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications Familiarity with industrial electrical and mechanical components Strong negotiation, organization, and vendor-management skills ERP experience is required - Acumatica experience preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Systematic Business Consulting
