Hotel Guest Room Attendant

If this is what you’re all about, consider joining our Team. Ascent Hospitality is looking for a uniquely qualified hospitality leader to join our team as Room Attendant. Responsibilities Clean guest rooms and assist with cleanliness of guest floors and hallways; maintain cleanliness of public areas and restrooms in the hotel. Sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens; cleans multiple rooms daily (changing sheets, making beds, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, polishing furniture and fixtures). Replenish supplies (drinking glasses, writing supplies, bathroom supplies) and replace light bulbs as needed. Clean corridors, stairways, rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies, walls, and windows; scrub bathroom floors and vanity, toilet, mirrors, and bathroom fan. Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays; transport trash to disposal area. Report maintenance-related problems to the maintenance department; follow proper hotel procedures for Lost and Found items. Maintain organization of supply room and keep carts stocked; respond promptly to guest needs for housekeeping supplies (within 10 minutes). Greet guests courteously and use guest names when entering occupied rooms; communicate product knowledge and local area information as needed. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, including completing room inspections and quality checks on televisions, telephones, AC, and smoke detectors. Adhere to uniform standards and demonstrate teamwork to keep areas clean and neat. Qualifications Ability to understand, read, write, and speak basic English; effective communication with team members and guests. Ability to follow simple, standardized instructions and work with minimal supervision. Flexibility to work shifts; strong customer service and teamwork skills. High school education or equivalent preferred; four to six months housekeeping experience or training preferred but not required. Physical Demands Regularly stand; use hands to handle, feel, or manipulate objects; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; walk, climb, balance, and talk or hear. Lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Close, distance, and color vision requirements. Ability to work in mentally and physically demanding situations.
