The Opportunity: As a Trader, you'll sit at the center of Nucor's raw material supply chain - buying scrap and alloys from suppliers worldwide, then brokering those raw materials to customers. You'll build a real book of business, trade commodities, and develop lasting supplier and customer relationships. After an 8-10 week paid training program, you'll be placed in one of our district offices and a brokerage based on our business needs and your strengths. You MUST be willing to relocate anywhere we do business post training - strictly based on business need, no preferences. - Ferrous
- Nonferrous
- Ferroalloy
- Industrial Group
- Buy and sell ferrous, nonferrous metals and or ferroalloys to drive Nucor's raw material advantage (Depending on assigned brokerage)
- Prospect and develop new supplier and mill relationships
- Manage contracts, payment terms, and supply chain logistics with customers
- Collaborate daily with logistics teams, Nucor mill contacts, and open-market accounts
- Travel to supplier and customer sites (30-60% of time)
- Relocate to any district office at the close of training - and again as you advance
- Bachelor's degree in Business and or related field/discipline
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 100% open to relocation - initially and as your career advances
- Ability to travel 30-60%
- Self-starter who thrives working both independently and on a team
- Prior sales, trading, or customer service experience
- Negotiation skills and commercial instincts
- Curiosity about financial and commodity markets
- Base salary of $77,000.00 + ROA bonus up to 33.9% of annual pay
