Direct Counsel is seeking an Experienced Real Estate Attorney to join a prominent national law firm in its Naples, Florida office. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned real estate attorney seeking a leadership-oriented role within a sophisticated and growing practice, with the potential to play a key role in the long-term development and succession planning of the group.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling both commercial and residential real estate matters, with a primary emphasis on commercial transactions.

About the Role

The firm's Real Estate Practice represents developers, investors, property owners, lenders, and businesses in a broad range of transactional real estate matters.

Attorneys in this role will handle:

• Commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions

• Residential real estate transactions

• Purchase and sale agreement negotiation

• Commercial leasing matters

• Real estate financing transactions

• Title and survey review

• Due diligence investigations

• Transaction structuring and risk management

• Real estate regulatory and compliance matters

This position offers significant autonomy and direct client responsibility while providing the opportunity to work closely with firm leadership on the continued growth and expansion of the practice.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing commercial and residential real estate transactions from inception through closing.

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating purchase agreements, leases, financing documents, and related transaction materials.

• Conducting title, survey, zoning, and due diligence reviews.

• Advising clients on transaction structures, risk mitigation strategies, and business objectives.

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.

• Collaborating with practice leadership on strategic growth initiatives.

• Supporting mentorship and development efforts within the real estate team.

• Assisting with business development and client expansion opportunities.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

• Active membership in the Florida Bar.

• Minimum of 8 years of real estate law experience.

• Significant experience handling commercial real estate transactions.

• Experience with residential real estate transactions.

• Strong drafting, negotiation, and transactional management skills.

• Excellent client service and relationship management abilities.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Leadership potential and interest in long-term practice development.

• Portable business is welcomed and preferred, but not required.

Work Environment

This position is based in Naples, Florida and requires full-time, in-office attendance. Candidates must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, the Naples area. Remote work is not available for this role.
