Overview The Fenwick & West technology transactions group advises prominent life sciences and technology companies on complex, innovative technology transactions. The group collaborates closely with the firm's top-ranked Corporate (Startup & Venture Capital, IPO, M&A) and leading life sciences patent prosecution practices. The role involves representing biotechs and big pharmas in licensing patents and collaborating to advance novel therapeutics, vaccines, diagnostic, and digital health technologies through clinical trials and toward regulatory (FDA) approval. Work includes negotiating complex standalone commercial transactions and engaging closely with founders developing cutting-edge technologies. Experience with AI-native or AI-driven biotechnology companies, particularly those integrating artificial intelligence or machine learning into drug discovery, diagnostics, or life sciences R&D, is a plus.
