About the Clinician's Workday The interventional cardiologist will provide ER call coverage on a 24/7 basis, serving as the primary on-call clinician for both interventional and primary cardiac call during the coverage period from August 31 through September 7, with shifts structured on a 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM schedule. Clinical responsibilities include performing interventional cardiology procedures and echocardiograms, including transesophageal echocardiography, in response to emergency cardiac presentations. The clinician will collaborate with a 3-person 24/7 call team and laboratory staff throughout the assignment. Laboratory operations are supported by daily staffing across two labs on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and one lab on Thursday and Friday. Patient documentation must be completed using the EPIC EMR system to maintain accurate and timely clinical records. Utah medical licensure and prescriptive authority are mandatory for this assignment; board certification in interventional cardiology is negotiable.
