General Statement of Responsibilities: Setup and operate machinery in a cell concept using teamwork to meet production requirements. Operators are required to move from machine to machine within the cell, and transfer product from machine to machine. Specific Duties: 1. Meet production requirements within specification and visual standards. 2. Perform all quality checks, including recording paperwork of quality checks. 3. Perform all gage setups as required. 4. Pre-setup and maintenance of production tooling. 5. Understands and operates according to TS16949 work instructions for area. 6. Performs all required record keeping. 7. Participate in process improvement. 8. Maintain housekeeping in the department in order to facilitate a neat, safe, and orderly work environment. 9. Has the responsibility and authority to prevent non-conformances relating to product, process, and quality systems including stopping production when suspect product is being run. Job specific authority and responsibilities for quality are defined in the work instructions for that job/department. 10. Perform all other duties as assigned by a supervisor. Assist management as appropriate, to ensure all environmental and safety regulations as well as best practices are met and/or exceeded. Ensure the proper segregation and labeling of all waste products and recyclables, and ensure waste minimization is practiced wherever possible. Adhere to all plant safety rules. 11. Perform other assignments as directed by a management representative. Position Requirements: 1. High School Diploma or G.E.D. 2. Ability to be licensed and drive a powered industrial truck. 3. Ability to work all shifts. 4. Ability to work overtime if required. Experience: 1. One year manufacturing experience preferred. 2. Knowledge and use of precision gauging equipment preferred. Skills: 1. Blueprint reading preferred. 2. Knowledge and use of precision gauging equipment preferred. 3. Setup, troubleshoot and operate in minimum time preferred. 4. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos preferred. 5. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals preferred. Other Job Requirements: 1.
