In this visible, hands-on leadership role, you’ll work closely with your team and other department leaders to ensure safe, efficient production, high-quality products and timely delivery. You’ll have the opportunity to develop employees, improve processes, solve problems and drive continuous improvement in a custom manufacturing environment.

This position is in Belding, Michigan

The shift hours are 7:00am-3:30pm M-F

The pay range for this position is $110,000-130,000 annually

What You'll Do

• Manage all manufacturing related activities to achieve efficient operations and timely delivery.
• Manage job hour budgets and % complete for all manufactured jobs. Prepare and publish weekly manufacturing progress reports.
• Direct activities of working foreman including providing production goals and work assignments.
• Ensure a level of product quality consistent with the company image and reputation.
• Research, recommend and justify capital equipment purchases.
• Responsible for building and grounds including security.
• Oversee safety programs, including hazardous materials, Right to Know, hearing conservation and respiratory protection, in compliance with MIOSHA regulations.
• Coordinate and maintain forklift and crane operator training.
• Conduct staff evaluations and make recommendations regarding wage adjustments, hiring and termination.
• Maintain manufacturing capacity graphs and related production metrics.

What You Bring

• We're looking for a manufacturing leader who combines strong people leadership with practical manufacturing experience.
• Experience leading manufacturing operations in a small to mid-sized, custom or project-based manufacturing environment.
• Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience leading and developing manufacturing employees.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a project-driven manufacturing environment.
• Experience with production planning, budgets, capacity and operational metrics.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• A hands-on leadership style with the ability to build strong relationships across the organization.
