We're looking for an experienced Outside Sales Engineer to develop relationships with customers, understand their technical needs and help deliver custom-engineered equipment and solutions.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical knowledge, problem-solving and relationship-building to help customers find the right solution for their operation. You'll work directly with customers and internal teams throughout the sales process, from understanding requirements and developing estimates to providing technical support and helping bring customized solutions to life.

This position is onsite in Belding, MI and includes regular travel to customers within the territory.

Pay range for this position is $80,000-$100,000 annual base plus bonus

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and prospective clients.
• Meet with engineers, architects, management representatives and other technical professionals to understand their needs and identify opportunities.
• Present Granco Clark's custom equipment, systems, services and solutions to prospective and existing customers.
• Represent Granco Clark at industry trade shows and other customer-facing events.
• Travel to customer sites as needed to support sales and customer requirements.
• Review blueprints, plans, specifications and other customer documentation to understand project requirements.
• Gather customer requirements and develop accurate cost estimates for custom equipment and solutions.
• Recommend changes to equipment, processes or materials that may improve operations or reduce costs.
• Collaborate with customers to develop practical, cost-effective solutions that meet their operational needs.
• Provide technical guidance to customers regarding the use, operation and maintenance of equipment.

 

What You Bring

• We're looking for someone who combines technical knowledge, strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in technical sales, engineering, manufacturing or a related field preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans and technical documents.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into practical technical solutions.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple customer projects and priorities.
• Comfortable presenting to customers and representing the company at trade shows and industry events.
• Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
