Part Time - Athletic Nutrition Center Restaurant Food Service Associate SHOPSSP/40482/Food Service Associate - 482 Provides responsive and high quality customer services to promote positive impressions to customers. Works efficiently as a team member, taking initiative to perform tasks, resolve problems and ensure successful outcomes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Processes cash, credit card, and meal card transactions. Assists with stocking/restocking of inventory and replenishment of food items, utensils, napkins, etc. Provides quality customer service while ensuring compliance with policies and standards. Uses interpersonal skills to build customer confidence. Maintains positive working relationships with customers and peers. Observes all safety and Company rules and regulations in the performance of duties. Prepares products as assigned by production records. Follows approved recipes and standards for consistency and accuracy of products. Maintains the cleanliness of the workstation at all times. Follows all sanitation guidelines ensuring fresh, wholesome products. Operates and maintains kitchen equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Assists with accepting deliveries and stores raw food products according to established standards. May assist in the cleaning of equipment, tools, or pans. Must comply with company policies and federal, state, and local laws/regulations, including employment, safety, and health. Minimum Education and Experience High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) degree. Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Strong communication and interpersonal skills required. Food Handler certificate from the County of San Diego is preferred. Qualifications and Standards Language Skills: Must read, write, and understand English, follow verbal and written instructions, and communicate professionally. Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Reasoning Ability: Apply common-sense understanding to general written or oral instruction. Manual Dexterity: Ability to use a variety of equipment and utensils. Physical Communication: Ability to talk, express, and exchange ideas, and hear/perceive sounds. Physical Demands: Operate cash registers, stand for prolonged periods, walk, move, and lift or carry objects up to 50 pounds. Working Conditions and Hazards Work is regularly performed in a food production area with exposure to food fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, humid and hot conditions, cleaning chemicals, and moderate noise levels. This position requires on‑site presence and is not eligible for remote work. Supplemental Information Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs, including opening, mid‑day, closing, night shifts, weekends, and holidays throughout the year.
